The Colorado Mountain Club (“CMC”), a 501©3 corporation was founded in 1912 and is one of leading climbing and hiking organizations in the country supporting education, conservation and recreation. The CMC is seeking an Accountant who will report directly to the Director of Finance and work closely with the Executive Director and other directors within the organization. Responsible for the organization’s day to day operation financial transactions. Process, troubleshoot, enter, and reconcile all of club’s basic financial activities.

Job Requirements
Responsible for daily bank deposits and receipts of money
Process bill payments
Document filing and record retention
Manage outstanding A/R invoices, payment collections
Make simple month end entries
Prepare financial statements and reports, including the profit and loss statement and balance sheet
Prepare and reconcile monthly inventory and sales reports
Process semi-monthly payroll
Assist with the annual year-end audit
Other duties as required

Bachelor degree in business administration with area of emphasis in accounting required
Bookkeeping experiences & familiarity with Intuit’s Quickbooks required
Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Proficient with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook
Must be able to prioritize multiple project deadlines simultaneously
Detail oriented, and analytical
Non-profit experience helpful
