Job Summary 13;
Leads a team of Product Managers with the primary responsibilities of defining the product strategy, developing and executing the product roadmap, managing financial growth and profitability, and developing detailed market requirements based in network based and IT technologies. Directs the development and lifecycle management of CenturyLink product portfolios. Responsible for maximizing the competitiveness and financial performance of a product portfolio. Requires advanced technical/industry knowledge and span of control. Position is both deep in content and broad in scope. An entrepreneurial product leader responsible for defining, developing and leading how we deliver services to our customers. Focused on the customer experience with an ability to understand and translate market opportunities and customer needs into product requirements and product value messaging. Expert in communicating our product capabilities to both internal and external audiences via written and verbal presentations.
This role provides opportunity to make an immediate impact on both our short:term deliverables and long:term strategic goals. Requires leading both a direct team of product professionals as well as matrixed organizations responsible for the development and lifecycle management of a complex product ecosystem that includes IT systems, networks, and 3rd party vendors and partners.

:Leads and manages a team of Product Mangers to high performance; hires and retains the right talent in the right roles; sets goals, delegates work, holds reports accountable; develops and empowers direct reports to make decisions and take action.
:Manages all aspects of the portfolios financials for growth, revenue, and profitability. Understands and actively manages all of the levers that impact financials including funnel, usage, opex, netex, capex, credits, pricing, churn, and company accounting practices : the CEO of their business.
:Develops and articulates vision and market strategy across the product portfolio. Identifies market direction, whats important to customers, where technology and features are evolving and where the company can effectively compete. The Director of Product Management should be viewed as an industry expert in their particular discipline with a broad understanding of the technologies relevant to customers that buy our services including UCC, voice/SIP, layer 2 and layer 3 networking, and security.
:Leads the development of new products and product features by understanding the market, writing detailed market and product requirements, developing financial justification, and championing the ask through leadership to market.
:Prepares and delivers executive level presentations that include portfolio performance and portfolio development asks grounded in financial justification and business cases.
:Prepares and presents company and portfolio content at industry events, panels, and to industry Analysts and experts with the goal of perpetuating CenturyLink brand, capabilities, and differentiation
:Oversees team to manages specific customer opportunities as they relate directly to driving revenue for the portfolio. Negotiates business terms and conditions of customer contracts. Gathers and prioritizes customer requirements and benchmarks company products to competitor products to evangelize the portfolio roadmap.
