Position Summary
Supports quality initiatives by facilitating data collections, providing and analyzing data, and trending utilizing the various clinical information systems. Collaborating with clinical managers, directors and physicians to ensure the accurate and timely use of data available within the system. Facilitates quality initiatives and change management.
Minimum Education Requirements
:Bachelors degree or equivalent education and experience may be considered
:Bachelors degree in Nursing or other clinical discipline, preferred
Minimum Experience Requirements
Knowledge of medical terminology and disease process Experience using databases and spreadsheets Strong communication skills and ability to facilitate teams Demonstrates exceptional analytical skills, critical thinking and problem:solving abilities Five (5) years of clinical experience, preferred Three (3) years of experience working with quality indicators or benchmarks, preferred Experience with facilitation and process improvement, preferred Knowledge of healthcare regulations, preferred Experience in project management, preferred Ability to navigate electronic health records
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred
Position Duties
:Designs, analyzes, interprets and coordinates studies for medical staff and service areas. *
:Performs chart review and data abstraction for compliance with core measure and patient safety indicators. *
:Analyzes statistical data, guides appropriate review methodology and utilizes appropriate reporting tools in the evaluation of organization performance. Creates graphical displays of data utilizing Microsoft Office Excel and other similar tools/software. Ensures data is valid and reliable; implements methods to ensure validity. *
:Assists in identifying best practices for transfer across the organization and facilitates the redefinition of practice parameters to improve quality and reduce costs. *
:Manages multiple databases while working with Decision Support to maintain the integrity of data sources. *
