We are DISH.This position will provide Tier 3 engineering and troubleshooting for DishA?s corporate data network devices and services. Detail oriented individual who provides advanced network engineering and consultation in the design, planning and implementation of technical products and network services. A strong Cisco background will be required. Primary Responsibilities fall into the following categories: Provide advanced technical leadership for complex project work, including functional subsystem upgrades for mission:critical network devices and services as well as strategic upgrades to the network coreEstablish requirements, provide analysis for network and services specifications, network design, network partitioning, and network architecture definitionDefine engineering requirements, architecture and network level design and integration for data interconnectivity needs of business:critical applications and functionsAnalyze, setup, monitor, and audit required measures to ensure data network performance and security Daily operational responsibility for reliability of DishA?s corporate networkValidate that customer network configurations are functioning per designs by validating log flows, event threshold settings, and alarm notification settingsA Principal Level Data Network Engineer will have the following:Bachelors degree from four:year College or university; or two years related experience and/or training; and six years plus experience as a data network specialist in a medium to large enterprise network; or equivalent combination of education and experienceCisco CCNA/CCNP preferredComplex troubleshooting skillsExperience with network monitoring applications such as Solarwinds Orion or Cisco Prime InfrastructureExtensive knowledge of Cisco routers and switches (Cisco IOS, NX:OS platforms)Proficient hands on experience and understanding of fundamental networking concepts and protocols such as: BGP, EIGRP, VLAN, TCP/IP, MPLS, STP, OSPF, HSRP, IP, sub netting, routing
