Operations Integration and Sustainment Lead (Job Number:434770)
SAIC is currently looking for an Operations Integration and Sustainment Lead to provide management and oversight of operations integration and sustainment activities for the Remote Sensing Directorate at SMC, with responsibilities for the Air Force's Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) and Environmental Monitoring space and ground systems across the full development and operational lifecycle.

The Operations Integration and Sustainment Lead is responsible for management and oversight of all systems engineering activities under the purview of the Government operations integration and sustainment organization. This includes sustainment of existing operational capabilities and integration of new capabilities and upgrades into the existing baseline. This oversight role focuses on integration and sustainment of hardware and software for ground systems, including concepts, requirements, test/validation, and transition to operations. The Lead will coordinate the SE and I efforts to interface with development contractors and provide recommendations to the Government for all program activities. The Operations Integration and Sustainment Lead will report directly to the RS SE and I Program Manager and serve as part of the Key Personnel leadership team for the effort.
Job Specific Responsibilities:
: Oversight and management of systems engineering activities
: Conduct SE based on sound engineering practices
: Elicit and refine customer requirements
: Ensure designs fully support requirements and are consistent with customer budget, schedule, risk profile and organizational/system constraints
: Performs Systems Engineering activities including: concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation and verification, systems integration, system and operational performance analysis, Lifecycle cost analysis and estimation, decision analysis and physical configuration analysis (PCA).
: Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
: Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications.
: Provides specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
: Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts
: Contribute to development of new principles and concepts
: Participate with senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives
: Recommend/make decisions on administrative or project work matters and ensures effective achievement of program, project, or organizational objectives
: Bachelors (STEM) and fourteen (14) years or more of related experience or
: Masters and twelve (12) years or more of related experience or
: PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more of related experience
: Education and Certifications
: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely:related discipline required (BS STEM); Master's degree is desired
: INCOSE Certification (Preferred)
