WHO OUR CLIENT IS: * Fortune 100 Financial Services Company * 100-year history of dedication to customer satisfaction, success and growth * Tremendous growth and new business strategy leading to the need for new talent * Significant investments in cutting-edge technology WHY YOU SHOULD CONSIDER THIS OPPORTUNITY: * Culture: Excellent work environment that fosters collaboration * Growth: Ability to make an impact on the direction of the organization * Opportunity: Gain hands-on experience working with cutting-edge technology * Stability: Recent financial performance of the company has reported record profits WHERE THE POSITION IS LOCATED: * Charlotte, NC WHAT YOU WILL DO: * Work with business unit leads to understand where data originates and how it flows downstream within and/or across particular processes * Understand and integrate enterprise data strategies, goals and objectives into project and day-to-day operating activities * Provide input to the policies, practices, and projects that acquire, control, protect, deliver and enhance the value of data and information assets * Assist with the definition of how the data will be sourced, managed and consumed within and across business processes * Develop, monitor and track data quality governance processes and results (metrics, scorecards & dashboards) * Monitor compliance with all approved data standards, policies, and procedures * Perform data quality investigations on critical data assets, participate in data quality improvement projects * Support the design and development of documentation of data standards and data usage within the business unit * Identify data quality issues (passive) * Proactive data quality issue discovery HOW YOU ARE QUALIFIED: * A minimum of 5 years experience in a business, data, financial or other analysis based role. * Familiarity with data governance principles, processes, policies and standards * Knowledge of the financial services industry including insurance, pension products, mutual funds and individual retirement products * Bachelors degree is required; advanced degree preferred * Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail with strong aptitude for learning new business processes, technologies and frameworks * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are a must * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, including cross business unit project work * Business experience with MDM (master data management) tools, data integration and quality tools, ERP/CRM applications and BI tools (Oracle BI suite, Teradata, and Siebel) * Ability to develop and recommend alternative approaches to problems that balance technical and operational feasibility
