The purpose of this position is to implement the processes and technologies required to deploy, support, organize, modify, and maintain the department's computer systems. He or she is responsible for standard delivery and maintenance of applications, configurations, and security policies (patches, anti:virus, and encryption). The position is expected to manage physical workstations with local and domain managed profiles, both locally and remotely. Ship and track assets, monitor and maintain continuity with system software licensing and maintenance agreements. Provide recommendations regarding hardware and software planning. The position is customer service oriented.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
:Responsible for administering workstation lifecycle processes (procurement, deployment, operations and retirement/transition) for clinical and non:clinical assets.
:Accurately record requests, incidents and resolutions into the ticketing system.
:Asset management and shipping.
:Assist clinical and non:clinical staff with problems/questions relating to computer equipment operating system software, application software, and hardware. Remote support provided as needed.
:Maintain systems security through encryption, anti:virus, and security patching.
:Monitor systems to ensure security, availability and performance to users.
:Research new technologies and make recommendations for hardware, software, network and process/procedure improvements.
:Coordinate and conduct end user training sessions as needed.
:Ability to work after hours as necessary for general maintenance and on:call support.
:Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings.
:Adhere to organizational change management processes.
:Maintain confidentiality and security standards and policies.
:Occasional travel may be required.
:Perform special duties, tasks, or projects as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent technical work experience or certifications is required.
A+ or Microsoft certifications is preferred.
Experience in application, technical support, helpdesk or systems administration is required.
Experience imaging desktops and laptops is required.
Experience troubleshooting basic LANWAN issues is required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) is required.
Healthcare experience is preferred.
RIS/PACS experience is a plus.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong analytical, problem solving and customer support skills.
Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment.
Self:starter and ability to manage own time effectively
Strong organizational skills.
Knowledge of VPN and LAN/WAN environments including TCP/IP troubleshooting.
Experience and skill administering enterprise desktop management tools such as Microsoft SCCM or Dell KACE is a plus.
Automation and scripting knowledge a plus.
The ability to bend, squat and lift up to 50 pounds is required.
