Position Summary
Responsible for managing the design and development of management and leadership training programs. This includes fundamental supervisory skills through progressive management of leadership competencies to executive level programs. Ensures learners are prepared with practical and productive knowledge and skills. This role will work closely with members of the talent development team in a fast paced, dynamic environment that demands high quality, creativity and consistency. The Instructional Designer creates and guides a progressive and adaptable training programs that drive best practices, measurable effectiveness, and impact on performance while ensuring system:wide implementation. This position will be responsible for delivering programs that develop the internal talent of Centura Health as a critical component in accomplishing our mission.
Minimum Education Requirements
:Bachelors Degree preferably in instructional design, training and development, organization design, communications or related area
Minimum Experience Requirements
:3 years of instructional design, experience developing training material for classroom curriculum and software training courses
:3 years training experience
:Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning styles, preferences
:Experience with learning management systems, preferably Health Stream
:Excellent verbal and written skills
:Experience with needs assessments, surveys, and data analysis Prior experience with vendor specific training materials Experience with curriculum design and progressive skill building 1 years project management and project tracking Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
:Ability to be self:directed
Position Duties (essential functions denoted with an * )
:Conduct needs assessment, analyze training needs with team and leaders to recommend, develop, or update learning solutions.*
:Research, design and develop informal and formal learning solutions in a variety of methods. Research, design and develop professional, management, and non:technical skills curriculum or programs. *
:Analyze course evaluations to determine effectiveness of learning design. *
:Recommend and implement approved revisions to materials, curriculum, or program, as necessary to improve training effectiveness. *
:Facilitate various learning solutions, as needed.
Physical Requirements
Sedentary Work : prolonged periods of sitting and exert/lift up to 10 lbs. force occasionally
