Business Development Manager Esker, Inc - Denver, CO

Working out of our Denver, CO office, we're actively looking to hire a Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our U.S. sales team and serve the following provinces and states: British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota and South Dakota. As a BDM, you will be responsible for maintaining and expanding Esker's client base by selling a variety of document delivery solutions and other intelligent technologies within the territory. Responsibilities include: Building new business via various outbound targeted messaging, cross-selling new products into existing accounts, traveling to customer meetings within the territory, and facilitating additional product cross-selling, long-term contracts and initial maintenance revenue with customers who have assigned accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong hunting background, as they will be looking to develop relationships in newly developed territories.

BDM Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree (or equivalent training) in business or a related field
  • The ability, experience and discipline to allocate time to prospect for new sales and not rely on leads from Marketing.
  • Hunting is 90% of the role, while farming would be the remaining 10%: strong hunting background is highly desired
  • 3-5 years of inside/outside sales experience
  • Experience selling high-end software based solutions including SaaS (Software as a Service)
  • Clear understanding of business processes (e.g., sales order processing, account receivable, accounts payable, etc.)
  • Clear understanding of document process-related business technologies (e.g., fax, imaging, archiving, etc.)
  • Robust knowledge of document delivery and business automation tools
  • Strong telephone skills coupled with a professional approach to customer service
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic understanding of SAP® and/or other ERP solutions
  • Travel may be up to 20%
