Purpose 13;
Provide in:house legal counsel and support at Newmonts corporate headquarters, including work on commercial, transactional, legal research and other legal matters as needed. Primary responsibilities will include negotiating and drafting purchase, service, and similar agreements in support of the corporate supply chain department, providing legal research and advice for various departments, and providing legal advice and support to other groups such as securities, compliance/ethics, employment and litigation, as requested.
Essential Duties 13;
:Drafting and negotiation of various commercial contracts in support of the corporate supply chain department, working with corporate lead counsel.
: In coordination with corporate counsel, conduct legal research and provide advice on topics as assigned.
:Work with corporate lead counsel to define, develop and maintain the Companys standard form contracts.
:Provide legal advice, research and work on securities, compliance/ethics, litigation and employment projects, as requested.

Training and Experience 13;
:J.D. Degree and current license to practice law in Colorado required
:Sound business acumen and good interpersonal skills
:Proven ability to manage heavy workload in a demanding, high:pressure environment
:1 : 3 years of previous legal experience, preferably at least one year at a law firm
:Familiarity with mining or mining law a plus 13;

:Position is based at the corporate office in Greenwood Village, Colorado, and may require travel to domestic and international sites.
: Extended work hours may be required. 13;
