PHYSICAL THERAPIST

Life Care At Home in Aurora, Colorado

Full-time position available. (EOE/M/F/V/D)

 

The Physical Therapist provides rehabilitative care for patients needing assistance and training with ambulation, transferring, therapeutic exercise and home exercise programs. The Physical Therapist evaluates level of function, helps develop the plan of care (revising it as necessary), prepares clinical progress notes, advises and consults with the family/caregivers and works as a part of the interdisciplinary team.

 

• Knowledgeably and competently delivers physical therapy to patients

• Evaluates patient needs through ongoing assessment and revises care plans based on changes in patient condition

• Documents and charts appropriately and within specific time frames

• Follows physician orders and physical therapy treatment plans for patients

• Oversees and evaluates care given by PTAs

• Identifies equipment needs of patient, requests physician orders for equipment and works with equipment companies in ordering equipment for patient

• Contacts physician and appropriately requests other disciplines be assigned to case; coordinates the development of plans of care with attending homecare physician

• Regularly re-evaluates patients to identify progress towards goal achievement. Reviews OASIS answers, coding and sequencing of diagnoses to ensure accuracy; obtains orders and updates Plans of Care as needed throughout the episode of care

• Participates as part of an interdisciplinary team to assure that patient services are delivered in a timely and effective manner

Job Requirements
 

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the state in which practicing

• Graduate from a physical therapy curriculum approved by either the APTA, Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA, or Council on Medical Education of the AMA and APTA

• If the above requirements are not met, but prior to January 1, 1966 was either admitted to membership by the APTA, was admitted to registration by the American Registry of Physical Therapist, or graduated from a physical therapy curriculum in a 4 year college or university approved by a State department of education

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a PT

• Home Health experience preferred

• CPR certification

 

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

• Valid drivers license and auto liability insurance

• Maintains reliable transportation in order to travel to patient homes per patient schedule and agency needs

• Knowledgeable of physical therapy practices and procedures based on state practice acts

• Possess the ability to make independent clinical decisions

Job Summary:


This individual will be responsible for interpreting the financial requirements and billable nature of items and services on clinical trial protocols by conducting a Coverage Analysis, and negotiating budgets with sponsors. The Research Budget/Coverage Analyst will collaborate with Market Based Organizations (MBOs) to obtain agreement from research sponsors on budgets that are sufficient to cover costs and are compliant with federal guidelines.

Essential Duties:


1. Develops, drafts, and negotiates budgets with sponsors for clinical trials on behalf of CHI investigators, MBOs, and research teams.

2. Responsible for entering event schedules, budgets, billing plans, and other financial information into theClinical Trial Management System (CTMS).

3. Provides functional and technical support to CTMSend users on the budget applications and system's workflow as it pertains to research patient billing.

4. Coordinates the budget process in collaboration with other CIRI staff to ensure timely execution of compliant and effective budgets as a part of the clinical trial agreements with sponsors.

5. Reviews current business processes and continually seeks opportunities for improvement.

6. Participates in the implementation of CIRI programs at the MBOs and take responsibility for the successful implementation of CTMS as it relates to coverage analysis and budgets.

7. Actively participates in user groups to maintain best practices within the CIRI model.





Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
