Position Summary: This position supports the mission of Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. The Cook/Cashier/Server is responsible for maintaining principles of proper hot and cold food production and other related activities. The Cook/Cashier/Server is responsible for seeing that food is prepared according to the menu; confers with the supervisor to the use of leftovers; makes menu changes as necessary; maintains a high standard of food handling and cleanliness in work area. Responsible for ensuring proper cash handling procedures. Restocks café station and assists customers as needed. Cashier is security conscious and informs manager when possible theft is occurring. Responsible for properly cleaning and sanitizing, trays, pots, pans and kitchen utensils. Also responsible for sweeping, mopping floors and trash removal. Complies with HACCP standards. They will maintain systematic organization and stock rotation and will clean walk-ins and freezers in the department. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
