Summary
In this sales development program senior Trade Sales Reps will mentor the Apprentice Sales Representative for a period of 12:18 months. During this training period, the Apprentice Sales Representative will go through a gradual evolution from job shadowing, to sales assistance, to establishing their own business under the guidance of the Manager, and eventually becoming an independent, full:commissioned salesperson. Trade Division Representatives are responsible for marketing and selling Pella products to contractors, homebuilders, architects, and other individual purchasers for single:family new home construction and remodel projects. Trade Division Representatives provide design, product selection, and installation expertise to the customer and acts as project manager throughout the process. Successful Sales Representatives are driven by a strong focus on customer service and commitment to customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
:
Initially, the primary job duty is to learn the basics, inside and out, of being a commissioned sales rep, and will include the ability to take direction from the Sales Manager. This entails, but is not limited to the following:

Ensuring an exceptional customer service experience for our customers and end users

:
Learning the companies proprietary software and systems : including PQM, CRM

:
Ability to read blue prints and do a take off

:
Presentation skills
:
Presentations to homeowners
:
Presentations to
builders/remodeling contractors
:
Presentations to Architects (box lunches)
:
Presentations to peers and management
:
Cold Calls

:
Management of accounts receivables

:
Relationship development with customers and customer satisfaction

:
Ability to get along with others in organization (teamwork)

:
Ability to collect data from different sources
:
From permits
:
From subdivision review
:
From past customer lists

:
In coordination with the Sales Manger for the Trade Division and Sales Mentor, develop, implement, and evaluate marketing and business plans to ensure profitability and growth

Provide detailed activity reports using proprietary software

:
Other duties as assigned
