Job Description:/h3:
As a sales specialist youll have the unique opportunity to play an important role in peoples lives : by protecting dreams. Youll use consultative selling techniques to attract, retain and sell insurance products while working in a team environment and providing top notch customer service. Your clients will rely on you for honest, trustworthy advice and, in turn, youll use your skills as a proactive problem:solver to create individualized insurance protection that meets their needs. The sales specialist position comes with a base pay, plus commission and bonus potential.
Sales and Marketing
:Demonstrated sales and customer service experience
:Ability to work independently to plan, set priorities, and organize work
:Prospects for new business through direct mail, internet leads, telephone calls, networking events, trade shows, personal contacts and social media
:Proactively cross sells and or coordinates with agency team members to provide additional coverage to existing customers
:Develops, maintains, and cultivates community contacts to enhance agency visibility and maximize new business opportunities
:Meets and exceeds sales goals
Role Requirements
:Successfully obtain and maintain a property, casualty, life, and health license
:Excellent oral and written communication skills
:Understand auto, home, commercial and life insurance products, procedures and best practices for promoting policy growth and retention
:Experience with PC software applications (Microsoft Office Suites, Internet Explorer, etc.)
:Valid drivers license required
:Achieve individual sales production goals as established by agent
Customer Relations
:Discuss insurance product offerings with current and potential customers
:Maintain high customer service standards to attract and retain customers
:Advise customer of claims and billing policies and procedures as needed
:Respond to inquiries, issues and complaints
Agency Office Operations
:Administer office practices and procedures
:Maintain information in the agencys customer database for future follow up
:Manage agency correspondence as required
:Continue to maintain and develop knowledge of American Family products and services and support efforts to increase agent business
Qualified candidates will possess:
:Outstanding sales and relationship skills
:Successfully obtain and maintain licenses in property, casualty, health and life
:Organization, prioritization and multi:tasking skills
:PC skills; experience with Windows:based computer applications a plus
:Ability to learn American Family products, services, and computer systems
:A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
:Acceptable driving record
