Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry:leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings : carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical:based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical:based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Purpose of Position: This is a client development position. The regional program manager is responsible for improving the ES Relationship and developing new methods for maximizing revenue potential in a geographical area. The territory can be as specific as a city or as broad as a group of states. Regional program manager will manage finanical aspects of our business, monitor costs and suggest changes to operations to improve profits; and develop effective ways to market products into a territory. The regional program manager must develop strong relationships with all of a customer decision makers; learn the way(s) that customers do business; develop an understanding of how customers interact in the marketplace; know how the competition relates to clients; and find ways to maintain productive relationships with each client.

Major Responsibilities
Ongoing Tasks:
:Conduct all business activities in a manner consistent with Corning's corporate values and Code of Conduct.
:Engage with customer(s) to insure needs and expectations are met.
:Devise Territory marketing plans in conjuction with commercial sales and marketing managers
:Conduct quarterly business reviews with Engineering Services, Commercial Account Management and with customer management.
:Assist in developing new revenue generating programs in Territory
:Monitor and manage performance metrics across all business aspects including internal, vendor and customer related financials
:Communicate ES business plans for the territory, resource requirements, and timing for new programs.
:Provide feedback to PMO management regarding subcontractor capacity constraints, capabilities and work performance.
:Make recommendations concerning the awarding of subcontracted business.
:Use PS administrative systems, procedures and forms necessary to maintain uniform records systems, facilitate order, invoice and payment processes on a consistent basis.
:Maintain documentation files for assigned territory.
:Maintain and monitor morale of all assigned field support personnel.
:Aptitude for problem solving at the Executive level
:Conduct resolution of conflicts/resource shortfalls through prioritization that takes into account: strategic value, customer expectations, legal obligations, deadlines and probability of success.
:Develop forecasting of project resource and material requirements and effectively meet the forecasted demand through combined use of fixed and scalable resources.
:Provide regular status updates to assist Operations in the forecasting of project revenue and costs.
