Our mala making workshop allows participants to mindfully create a mala bead strand for their meditation practice that is full of meaning and blessing.
DESCRIPTION
The workshop begins with a short discussion of the meaning and use of the mala.
We bring materials and provide instruction for assembling a secure and beautiful mala. Each participant will receive our booklet summarizing meanings of minerals and colors from various spiritual and cultural traditions. Our goal is to inspire mindful selection and design.
A pleasant community beading session follows and the workshop ends with a mala meditation.
HOSTING
Yoga studios, spiritual groups, community centers, coffee shops, senior centers, clubs, organizations or individuals are welcome to host a workshop. Location is flexible as long as there is space for the group to sit on the floor or in chairs for meditation.
We encourage the host to provide tea and treats during the beading session or invite participants to bring some to share.
Host is welcome to subsidize the workshop- providing it free or at a lower cost to participants.
Upgrades to standard materials are available. They are priced individually and are in addition to cost listed below. Host will receive 10% of all upgrade sales!
