In honor of Colorado Bike to Work Month, break out your bike and come pedal to through Forney History with the museum staff! The Forney Museum of Transportation is hosting its first annual Summer Rust Buster Fundraiser. We will begin at the Globeville Landing Park down the street from the Forney Museum and ride to the REI building (the old Forney Museum & Historic Tramway Powerhouse Building) location near Confluence Park. Once we arrive at our destination, a prepared boxed lunch will be served or you can bring your own. All participants are welcome and encouraged to return to the museum after the event.

Date: June 22, 2013

Time: 10:30am (Please arrive 30 minutes prior to start time)

The Route: The Bikeathon will begin at the Globeville Landing Park and will continue to Confluence Park, 15th Street. It is approximately 2.5 mile each way for a total of 5 miles.

Parking is available at the Museum.

Registration: $25 includes a t-shirt and admission to the museum. Boxed lunches are available for an additional $10.

The Forney Museum is also home to Amelia Earhart’s 1923 Kissel Goldbug, “The Yellow Peril”.

The Forney Museum is open Monday through Saturday 10am to 4pm and 12pm to 4pm on Sunday.

Admission is $8 for Adults, $6 for Seniors, and $4 for Children. (Children under 3 are free!)
